Sven Hult was born February 5, 1830 in Kristinefors Vitsand, in Värmland Sweden. He was the son of Sven Hult, born December 1, 1810 in Fryksande parish, Varmland, Sweden (died 1880 in Vitsand), and Karin Jonsdotter, (date and place of birth are unknown).
Sven Hult married Kristina (Christina) Aldrin, who was born in Norra Råda, Värmland, Sweden, on April 23, 1836.
Christina was the daughter of Johan Goransson Aldrin (born in Norra Råda on June 23, 1806 and died in Ransater in 1874), and Brita Maria Lundberg, (1813 - 1884).
Johan Goransson Aldrin was the son of Goran Jansson Aldrin, (born August 20, 1774 in Uddeholmes bruk, Norra Råda; date of death not known) and Goran's second wife, Ingrid Gustafsdotter, (1778 - 1812).
Goran Jansson Aldrin was the oldest son of Jan Aldrin (born January 1, 1744 in Geijersholm, Norra Råda, and died April 28, 1802 in Uddeholms bruk, Norra Rada), and Kjerstin Spangberg, (born November 30, 1751; date of death not known).

On August 30, 1876, Carl Johan, the oldest son of Sven and Christina, died from pyccmia, (septicemia), in a hospital in Karlstad. He was 17 years old at the time. Sven and Christina also lost two daughters at very young ages before emigrating from Sweden.
On March 24, 1880, the Sven Hult family emigrated from Munkfors, Ransäter, Värmland, Sweden. They were poor when they left Sweden. According to information gathered at Castlegarden.org, the Sven Hult family arrived in America on the ship, "Republic," on May 4, 1880. Sven's occupation was listed as a farmer. Emma K., who was 23 years old at the time of arrival, was listed as a servant. According to the obituary of Christina, from the Worcester Telegram in June 1929, the family moved to Minneapolis, where they lived for three years. After their daughter, Elin, was born, the family moved to Worcester, Massachusetts.
Sven Hult managed The First Swedish Co-op Store Company in Quinsigamond Village. This store which was founded on February 10, 1883, was housed at 26 Greenwood Street.

Fredrik Vilhelm married Emma Lindberg.
Hilda Sofia married Edward Ojerholm.
Elin (Ellen) married Axel Sandberg.
Sven Hult died on May 10, 1913. Christina died on June 4, 1929 in the home of her daughter, Ellen Sandberg at 63 Greenwood Street, at the age of 93 years. According to her obituary, she was a member of the First Swedish Methodist Church, Quinsigamond Village, and also a member of the Ruth Ladies' Aid Society of that church. At the time of her passing, Christina left three daughteres, Emma K., Ellen, and Hilda, and a son Frederick. She also left ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was also survived by a sister, Maria Atterstrom. Sven and Chrsitina are buried with their son, Frederick and his wife, Emma at the Old Swedish Cemetery in Worcester.
