"There is a longing within each of us to capture our past and tell our own story.
The process of bringing life to the generations before us is both grounding and healing.
It brings honor and a sense of reunion."

Welcome to my new website...
This is a place where I am sharing my "Treasures from the Past," some family pictures and information that I have gathered in recent years in my genealogy research. This is a place to make connections. I welcome you to visit this site from time to time as I make changes and add new information and more pictures. I am excited about this new project and I hope that as you glance through this site, you will be inspired to do further research and learn more about our ancestors, helping to gather more treasures from the past.
I wish to bring several family lines together as I work on this website. Through my research, I have found each family very unique in their own story, yet there was a common thread woven into the fabric of their lives that made them very much the same. They all faced challenges of the times in which they lived, as well as the common challenges presented throughout all the generations. They set the example for us on how to meet the challenges of life; sometimes in the right decisions they made and sometimes learning through the consequenses of wrong decisions. Remembering them and honoring their lives becomes a combination of gratitude and forgiveness; recognizing their strengths and weaknesses, as well as realizing our own. We are part of them and they are part of us. It is our hope, as it was the hope of our ancestors, that a little part of who we are will be passed on to the next generation. This is the torch that is carried through the generations; the beacon that sheds light on our legacy.
There is a feedback page where you are welcome to comment or share information. I welcome the opportunity to make connections and to expand my family tree. We are all connected...we are all part of this amazing journey we call life. Our ancestors had a dream. Their vision extended across the unforgiving ocean, as they left their homeland to seek a better life in America...for them and for the future generations.
This is their story...this is our story.
God bless,
Marie
